You’ve seen them everywhere — it seems like everyone and their mother has one, but then you look at the price. $59.99 excluding tax isn’t what someone on a reasonable budget wants to consider especially after a fairly expensive trip to Disney. But the thing is, they’re worth it, and they’re especially worth it if you’re a Disney Annual Pass holder. No, I’m not in any way trying to sell you on one, I think, more than anything I’m trying to justify why I bought it myself. And here’s the thing, if you’re not an annual pass holder, then maybe this isn’t for you, but as far as basic questions go, yes they’re super comfortable, and there’s not a single body type they don’t flatter, where those two areas are considered — jackpot. But also, you don’t have to wear them to Disney.
The hardest decision I had to make was choosing a color because the army green one is utter perfection, and truthfully, I’m pretty sure I could have paired just as many outfits with it if I wanted to. But black seemed like a little less work and that’s the option I went with. And here’s the thing I love about Disney spirit jerseys, they’re versatile. I love planning Disney outfits more than I love ginger-ale, and Spirit Jerseys make it a tiny bit easier, which I’m always here for.
So without further ado, here are some of the outfits I put together for Spring/Summer.
Best of Film
Normally, this would be a list of 15 of our favorite films this year, but instead, we’ve chosen the five we’ve loved most with three reasons as to why. It ends up being 15 in the end, get it? Yes? No? Hopefully.
Film: Cinderella (2015)
Written By: Chris Weitz
Directed By: Kenneth Branagh
Starring: Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden, Helena Bonham Carter, Nonso Anozie, Sophie McShera, Holliday Grainger and Hayley Atwell
More so than any other story, Cinderella takes the crown (pun intended) as the quintessential rags-to-riches fairytale, having been told and retold through a number of mediums (books, plays, Broadway, film, etc.) for centuries. Perhaps the version that continues to capture the hearts of viewers remains to be Walt Disney’s animated classic. 65 years later, Walt Disney Pictures took on the colossal challenge of creating the live action adaptation. And boy, did they rise to the challenge and truly deliver the magic we all expected.
Cinderella is the tale of innocence– a magical film signifying the vitality of kindness and courage.

Film: A Bug’s Life (1998)
Written By: John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Joe Ranft
Directed By: John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton
It’s been a while since some of us probably watched the awesome hit about ants taking on the grasshoppers. And most of the time we probably weren’t paying attention to the significant message the Pixar film was meant to depict. Size doesn’t matter. Yes! At the end of the day, there are always going to be bullies and people who will attempt to take advantage of you. However, with good friends, nobility, and a giant bird made of sticks and stones, it’s possible to invincible. People are often ashamed to say something, but it’s important to remember that the key to changing the world is to take one step further. Speak up. If you see something awful being done to someone else, stand up for them. No one is ever too weak to handle anything – the strength is always within.

“Go chase your dreams. You won’t regret it. Anything can happen if you let it.”
– Mary Poppins
We know we’re not the only ones who’ve questioned whether or not the path we’re on is right. And we also know that we aren’t the only ones who’ve been told we should chase a different path. Disney’s our go-to. While some believe the advice may be cliche at this point (and perhaps it is), we don’t. Mary Poppins is right. Isn’t it better to do what you love than to spend your entire life working at something you dislike just because of the pay? Or because it would’ve been easier?
If your dream is to be a doctor, then that’s amazing – we commend your bravery and selflessness. If your dream is to be an actress, then get yourself out there – fight for it, study the craft, and never give up. If your dream is to be a writer, then never stop writing, never stop learning. The point is, we believe that the only way to truly live is to do the thing you love most. It’s not always going to be easy; there will come a time where you’ll second guess it and yourself. There will also come a time where you’ll want to give up, but deep in your heart, whatever the desire may be, never stop chasing it. When it gets too difficult, as it will, keep going. We promise there’s going to come a time where the dreams will be reality. You’ll build resilience and throughout the journey you’ll learn so much more about yourself than you ever thought possible. By following your dreams, you’ll grow in ways you never thought possible. And the most important thing to remember is that age is nothing but a number – whether your dreams become a reality at 8, 15, 23, 26, 30, 40, etc., it doesn’t matter.
You have to let your passions consume you because there’s no feeling greater than doing what you love.
“This is what storytellers do. We restore order with imagination. We instill hope again, and again, and again.”
– Walt Disney
Film: Saving Mr. Banks
Saving Mr. Banks is one of our favorite new films and because we’re writers, this quote especially resonates deeply with us. The importance however is that it doesn’t just apply to storytellers. It’s meant to showcase the fact that everything we do in life is significant. There’s a purpose to everything in this world. There’s a purpose to your dreams and don’t you dare ever let anyone talk you out of doing the one thing you love most.
Whether you’re a writer or a dancer, you play an enormous part in changing lives and inspiring.

“Oh yes, the past can hurt but you can either run from it, or learn from it.”
Rafiki | The Lion King
As human beings we have an unfortunate tendency to let the past govern our present. And no matter how many times we’re told to let it go and look passed it, it becomes easier said than done. However, sometimes, just the reminder from a classic Disney film to tell us that it’s in our control is enough for us to want to better ourselves.
Open your heart to the future and the present. Open your heart to people even though you’ve been burned. Someday, the present will become the past and it won’t be as bad as it once was. If you don’t trust us, trust the wisest baboon on the planet.
