Abigail Stanton and Elizabeth Thatcher (When Calls the Heart)

Accidentally stumbling onto a series is perhaps one of the most serendipitous things that could happen to a TV fan. When Calls the Heart is a gift I did know I needed, and it’s a gift that keeps on giving remarkably. When Calls the Heart brings friendships to life in a way that’s so beautifully written, it leaves me crying after almost every episode. (Happy tears, of course.) From the very first episode, Abigail Stanton’s warmth and grace spoke to my soul. The instantaneous kindness she showed Elizabeth when she moved to Coal Valley was inspiring. And Elizabeth’s spirit weaved beautifully with her longing for adventure was just what Abigail needed. Abigail Stanton and Elizabeth Thatcher are the kind of women with endless love to give thereby, finding one another was a gift neither of them ever knew they needed. And in beautifully profound ways, the friendship they found within one another completed them in ways they’d never expected.
