25 Inimitable Men 3/25
Jim Halpert (The Office)
A prankster with an absolute heart of gold and wisdom that’s through the moon? Where can you go wrong? Perhaps in certain places but certainly not with The Office’s Jim Halpert — especially with his ridiculously distinct sense of humor. Jim plays a crucial role in making The Office extraordinary and it’s essentially due to the significant growth his character experiences in his time working at Dunder Mifflin. In a number of ways, we saw a lot of greatness through his eyes, it was through his perspective where we were able to understand characters a little bit more because his means of description weren’t always sugar-coated — they were just incredibly honest. And honesty, plus a knack for laugher is easily a great combination for a man. Jim Halpert is a character you don’t expect to fall in love with, that’s why when it happens and you’re able to find a sense of comfort through his sincerity, it’s simple to understand how easily he cares for those around him, and how ardently he values love above all things.
“Beyond the Wall” | Game of Thrones
When 90% of the shows you watch are on hiatus in the summer, it’s series like Game of Thrones and Hallmark’s darling Chesapeake Shores that keep us sane. And though Chesapeake Shores has been superb lately, it’s Game of Thrones’ “Beyond the Wall” that we need to talk about.

Killian Jones (Once Upon A Time)
There are very few characters that have had a redemption arc as fascinating and as brilliant as Once Upon A Time’s Killian Jones — characters who stumble and fall in ways that are so realistic, we’re able to understand the human psyche remarkably through them. From the moment Killian Jones appeared on screen, it was clear that he’d be one of the most compelling characters on the series. It was clear that his journey would encompass a vast array of life lessons written to inflict hope into viewers. Killian Jones wasn’t always a villain, and that’s part of the massive reason as to why his growth’s been so superlative. He’s gone from a Navy kid with great innocence to a broken man on a quest for vengeance, and through persistence, that broken man found his way onto the hero column. Killian Jones is, in every sense of the word, a man of honor — his choices to better himself out of the sheer desire to be worthy of the heroic title strengthened his character profoundly. In his journey to self discovery, the mistakes he’s made and the temporary setback in his iability to forgive himself have showcased true bravery in the form of self-awareness. Imperfections and superbly honorable traits have made Killian Jones a character to be empathized with — a character to be cared for, and without a single doubt, a character that’s truly inimitable.
I’ve never been more stumped on how to title this because this technically isn’t a review so I have no clue how to appropriately label it in a few words. Anyway, I hope the above attempt works in someway. For those who haven’t heard yet, Timeless star Matt Lanter and his wife, the lovely Angela Lanter of Hello Gorgeous are expecting their first child and documenting it for us. Now while the podcast is primarily focused on all things pregnancy, there’s a moment in episode four that needs to be elaborated on here at MGcircles where we’re essentially focused on creating a positive environment for celebrities. (Fun fact, I hate that word. I hate that word with a passion. There should be a new one.)

Chuck Bartowski (Chuck)
We all have that one TV character we’ll love the end of the time — the one we jokingly tell our significant other they should be more like. The one who’s truly ideal. You can’t not fall in love with Chuck Bartowski. When someone shows you so much of their heart and simultaneously loves Star Wars, it’s a done deal. Am I right, ladies? But in all seriousness, there are a number of things that have made Chuck a noteworthy, noble character, and my all-time favorite TV male. Chuck’s integrity, openness, and empathy effortlessly weaved into an unapologetic nerd makes him indescribably special. As Sarah Walker once said: “I love Chuck Bartowski and I don’t know what to do about it.” Same, Sarah. Same.
