Fitz is free. No jail time for him, even though we all know everyone would love to see him with Papa Pope. But guess what? Papa Pope is free too!
Episode Summary: Cyrus tells Fitz Rowan has escaped, drunk Jake tells off Liv for letting her daddy free and for his sorta wifey’s death and there is a case of a famous author who is accused of rape.
Review | Analysis: Ok apparently Olivia seems to be some sort of a clueless person when it comes to her father.
We hate to say it but why did she tell Jake “if I had known,” when he confronted her about releasing him from jail? Girl, how could you have NOT known. SMH. Anyways, Jake, drunk, lashes out to Olivia for releasing her murderous daddy and for letting him practically kill his kind-of wife.
A woman by the name of Hannah Taylor, says the famed author, Frank Holland, raped her. This man is described as “God’s gift to women,” and wrote a book that inspired Abby to leave her hubby. As if that wasn’t good enough, this guy just received the Medal of Honor from the President himself! Once again, the team is working for both sides – the client and the White House.
Quinn brings us back to why we fell in love with Olivia and it wasn’t her love life. It was because she cared for the underdogs, because she believed the victims. She would listen to the women that came forward and confessed especially when the society wouldn’t care. The fact that she was about to refuse service to the one client who was all-in to work with her, and the fact that she was a rape victim, did not sit well with us. We hope she listens to Quinn and goes back to the old Liv we all adored and loved.
And just like that she’s back! Frank’s wife just reignited her fire and the catch here was that she knew all along and was the one who gave him the same drugs he used on women. Why? Her hubby had empowered so many women that it’s no big deal if he rapes them here and there. I wish you guys could’ve seen my face when this scene was happening. I was furious! Why would anyone say “one thing has been true since time began, young women are going to throw themselves at their professors?” Yes, maybe some would, but not all. Geez.
On a lighter note, Lizzie the Bear is back. She is the new Chief of Staff for VP Susan Ross. Hello love triangle! Lizzie, Susan and David. Oh and Abby, even though she’s not in the picture just yet. But you wait, she will be!
This re-hiring upsets Cyrus and he stirs up the pot again with Liv. “You have pulled off a clean, bloodless coup in the United states of America…he isn’t the President anymore, you are.” And just like that she decides to both lie to her boyfriend and take ownership of what Cyrus told her.
What do you think of the episode? Is Liv going to make a good pres? What’s going to happen to Rowan? Will Liv and Fitz’s relationship survive? Let us know below! Until next week Gladiators…
